Most pest-control companies never tell you what they spray. We do the opposite. This page lists every pesticide product New York Exterminating is equipped to apply — each one either EPA-registered or a FIFRA 25(b) minimum-risk material — with its EPA registration number, active ingredient, and the two documents that matter: the EPA-approved product label (the legal use instructions) and the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet (health, first-aid and handling).
Under our Integrated Pest Management approach, led by an ESA-certified Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE), we reach for the least-toxic effective option first — inspection, exclusion and targeted baiting before any broadcast treatment. Common questions
The label is the legal, EPA-approved instruction sheet for a product — it lists the active ingredient, EPA registration number, approved sites, application rates and required precautions, and using a product contrary to its label is a violation of federal law. The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is the manufacturer’s health-and-safety document — it covers hazards, first aid, handling, storage and spill response. We keep both on file for every product we carry.
Yes. We practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM), so inspection, exclusion, sanitation and monitoring come first, and when a product is warranted we choose the lowest-risk material that will resolve the problem — often a targeted gel bait, a botanical minimum-risk product, or a crack-and-crevice placement rather than a broadcast spray.
Every product here is either EPA-registered or a FIFRA 25(b) minimum-risk exempt material, and we apply each one strictly according to its label, which includes the re-entry and placement precautions that protect people and pets. We’ll always tell you what we’re using, where, and any brief precaution to follow — just ask before or during service.

A small number of our botanical products (for example EcoRaider and ER-22) qualify as FIFRA 25(b) “minimum-risk” pesticides. By design these are exempt from EPA registration, so they have no EPA registration number or EPA-approved label — but we still provide the manufacturer’s product information and SDS.
Yes. Applying a pesticide inconsistent with its labeling is prohibited under federal law (FIFRA) and New York State regulation. Our work is performed under New York State DEC certification (Business Reg. #15140), and label compliance is non-negotiable on every job.
